Frequently Asked Questions
Your Questions Answered
How do I setup an appointment?
Can I fill out my child’s forms and medical history online?
Does my child see the same therapist each session?
Yes! Once you receive your first appointment, you will be emailed a welcome letter. The letter contains a link to our Patient Dashboard, which must be activated within 48 hours of receiving the email. Here you can create an account for your child, complete all of the intake forms and provide us with your child’s medical history.
How long do the therapy sessions last?
Typically, the initial evaluation will last between 60 minutes and 90 minutes. Most speech therapy sessions are 45 minutes to 60 minutes, 1 – 2 times a week. The length of the treatment sessions depends on your child’s ability to participate.
Do we provide ABA or behavioral therapy?
Call us at 843-289-5211 to get the process started. Before we can schedule an evaluation for your child, we will need a physician’s order. The physician’s order allows Wright Therapy Group to bill your insurance. Your doctor’s office can fax that physician’s order to Wright Therapy Group at 843-289-5211.
Yes, your child is assigned a therapist and sees that therapist at every appointment. If your child’s assigned therapist is an assistant, the supervising therapist will attend some sessions to complete progress notes and reevaluation. If your schedule changes and your current therapist cannot accommodate the change, we will find you a new therapist or place you on the waiting list until your current therapist has an opening.
Will you see my child in my home/childcare center?
We can see children birth to 3 that is enrolled in the BabyNet Program in their home or daycare. Depending on our need for travel appointments, we may ask that you transition to the clinic for therapy after your child’s 3rd birthday. We are able to see medically fragile children in their homes after their 3rd birthday on a case-by-case basis. If your child is over 3 years of age and we already serve another child in the childcare center they attend, we may be able to serve your child there as well. Please call us at 843-289-5211 so we can discuss the specifics of your situation and find the best environment to serve your child.
No, we do not provide ABA or behavioral therapy. Please talk to your child’s primary care provider about other agencies that can provide these services for your child.
